Who would have thought that knowing so little about a film would make its impression on the audience much more lasting. The desire to experience life outside our comfort zone is what we all yearn for. We spend years trying to be free of the constraints that restrict us from finding who we truly are. Jenny wanted that experience and found it sooner than most of us. Unfortunately wanting the life of the rich and famous isn’t for all of us, but the dream still burns bright. Carey Mulligan takes on the role of Jenny so easily that you would start to belive that Carey is Jenny. There isn’t much thought in playing the character, Carey just becomes her and does so effortlessly. An education is a lush and exquisite film and one of the best of this decade. The acting is sublime, the cinematography is beautiful and breathtaking and the star, Carey, is just that, a star that will continue shining and lighten the path for others to follow. To sum it up in a few words that would make Jenny approve, An Education is trés chic!
